I was wondering why one would use such a weak motor (okay, with skate wheels one doesn't need much torque even on steep hills, but there where I live I would not get up the hill with less than 500-600W on the wheel itself) on a selfbuild board, but the legal limitation explains it.<br />

Here all electric skateboards are not street legal. Ah well, at least police doesn't annoy anyone where I live.. and there are looooong ways one can skate (with an offroad board at least).

The axle looks well produced but I'm no fan of little wheels and rigid axle systems.<br />
<br />
I think for a city or parks the 200W motors will be enough, even more if you use small (skate)wheels, but not for a town where it goes either steep uphill or downhill.<br />
